Meet the Artist
Journey
My work with glass began with a quiet fascination of how light moves through and transforms glass. It began with tile and glass mosaics then evolved into working with fusible glass. Working with a kiln to melt and reform glass is an ongoing dialogue between materials and process.
Process
Glass is a means of painting with light. Layers of glass fragments, glass powders, and frit are composed in shifting relationships of color and transparency, then heat in the kiln. The kiln is unpredictable, generative, and essential—guiding each piece through a process of transformation.
Work
Each piece is created by hand and varied each time one is created. Bowls, plates, and ornaments emerge as individuals—no two ever fully repeatable.
Intent
Through this work, I hope to create objects that hold and transmit light—offering moments of warmth, stillness, and visual resonance within everyday spaces.
